Reddog flying a KingAir???

Post by FuelPump »

It's been a while since I last posted, hope you guys are all doing OK and knocking the stuffing out of those factories....

http://www.aopa.org/aircraft/articles/2 ... #recording

Down the bottom of that page is some audio, I could have sworn it was Reddog. I kept waiting for him to say "just a skosh"...

Good story, the guy was a passenger in a KingAir, and the pilot died on him. Air traffic control talked him down, and he managed to get in OK. His family were on the plane as well. He kept his head and got the job done. The audio goes for a while, but it's pretty good.

Have fun, and keep those bombs coming down!

Hey guys!

Yeah it's all going well here. Still plugging away at my commercial license. Still got a few exams to go, but have been doing pretty well with the ones I've done so far. Had a couple stops and starts (what's new?), but getting there.
I've had some good flights, seen alot of the scenery around the state, and checked out a few of the bars too.

I decided it was time for a break, and went off to a place called Cairns for a couple of weeks, got back a week ago. Beautiful place, all rainforests, mountains and sugar cane fields. Too many bloody hippies for my taste, but plenty of good looking backpacker girlies to balance it out. Of course, I checked out the bars there too.

Did some flying over there too, it was a bit different to what I'm used to, lots of mountains, and sharing the circuit with 737s, A320s, C130s, Dash 8s, as well as Cessnas and helicopters. Good fun!

I dunno when I'll get back into game. When I moved over here to Perth, I thought the timezone would be better for me, but it kind of sucks that to catch up with you guys I need to wake up at 5-6am on a weekend... I'm pretty busy these days so the sleep in time is kind of sacred to me. Plus I occasionally get on the booze on Friday nights which doesn't help.

I'm looking at moving over to Cairns at some point to do some flying instructor work and maybe some charter up to New Guinea, so you never know, it might work out better for me and I can get into the game again.

I hear RDP bombing has been nerfed again anyway? Sorry to hear that (again). When will they ever get their act together?
