Aussie rules football grand final

Post by FuelPump »

I just watched the Grand Final (our version of the Superbowl), it was one of the best games I've seen for a while.
My home team West Coast Eagles played Sydney Swans.
It was a real nail biter (I won't tell you who won).

If you're into that sort of thing, you've got nothing better to do, and they're playing it on ESPN or whatever, it'd be worth a look. I figure you guys might get the game delayed telecast.

If you don't know the rules, the main ones are easy.
If the ball gets kicked through the middle posts, it's a goal, worth 6 points.
If the ball goes through the outside posts, it's only 1 point.
If a bloke catches the ball on the full, it's called a mark, and he gets a free kick (or he can play on).
There's more, but that's a good enough start.

Yeah a bunch of nancy boys. Those Sydney types are only happy when they're sipping a mocchacino at the Gay Mardi Gras with their boyfriend looking maaaaarvelous in a new dress.
They lost anyway. They did put up a good show though, for a bunch of ballerinas.
