VE Day

Post by Main4ce »

Tuesday 8 May 1945 was 'Victory in Europe' (VE) Day, and it marked the formal end of Hitler's war. With it came the end of six years of misery, suffering, courage and endurance across the world.

I bet there wasn't alot of booze left anywhere a few days later...
Must have been a great feeling knowing that 6 years of death and loss were over.
But at that stage they still predicted over a million more allied deaths during the invasion of Japan.
