Boycotting RDP for #42?

Post by Frantish »

not 100%, but really pare it down.

We know what the score it, CRS not promising to improve RDP/fix stuff.
Adding AWS, but not adjusting damage.

A LOT of great ideas have been proposed (looks at Ma), but CRS is not acting on it.

I am thinking if the bomber community shows unit, the Writers... ah, Gamers Strike, maybe CRS will pay attention.

I will certainly inform our circle's about this boycott if you agree to do as well.

CRS *PROMISED* to fix bugs (words from Gophur) related to RDP in 1.28, and did not.
The fact they still ignore it still pisses me off no end.

This is a more recent error showed them back in November. It is on the list of things to fix, but wont be any year soon.

Keep up the great work!

Frantish,

I doubt you'll see this squad boycott the Strategic War. There are new parts of the game that we need to try out and see what happens. If we stop, the Strategic portion of this game comes to a technical stop. No chance of changes or growth.

Besides, I don't think the allied side could last an entire campaign without hearing ben shout on TS, damn, gotta 109 on my ass!

I'll be back flying fairly regular this next campaign.

First: I'll do as I'm told – ordered too.
Second: ... ehh, no second.

If my boss orders me to not RDP-bomb,
I will log off for this campaign, like I did
when the squad went axis. (I never got
an order to “go axis”).

I’m not telling you I disagree with you, just
your choice of method. I know you have
tried dialog, and that you feel it doesn’t help.
But I can’t see how boycott will help either.

I don’t believe in boycotting, I believe in dialog.
Dialog with respect of each other. Also I believe
in money-aid. Either give money, or buy a
product to support growth. Since I don’t have
that much money to give away to CRS (to get
more programming help), I’ve chosen to buy
– and stand by and be loyal to there product.

I was a bit unclear... I mean I don't give a sh..t what I'm bombing - as long as I fly with my friends.
I'm a happy bomber

Fran,

If one thing has occurred its that your "no more RDP 1.30" thread has had a ton of good dev info in it.

We'll do the runs and whine until RDP goes up in value. They know this has to happen according to KFS1's latest post.

We should help them test and just roll on until the update comes out that boosts RDP impact.

You mean all I had to do was issue an order and you'd do what I said?

Very cool. From this day forward, you all are ordered to leave my damned sheep alone.

Nah, I can't not do RDP . Sorry, just have to keep on plugging. And besides it takes long flights to get the tuna smell charlie mentioned out of the plane.

It was not a total stop, just a major reduction.

But you are a bunch of cool guys, I value your opinion.
No boycotting, business as usual (Bose will still be there reminding Ben to shout he has EA on his ars!)
