Can you start offline?

Try starting with sound disabled.

I wish I could be more in game, but I'm pretty busy.
I'm still working in the army, and I'm going to Afghanistan (PRT MEY) in February or March. Will be back home December 2011.

the windows 7 problem you have is common, i had it as well. make sure all your video card drivers are up to date as well as your sound card. you have to run the game in admin mode and in compatibility mode.

to do this find the .exe file (the one you click to start the game) right click it, should be a menu that pops up, go to "properties" click the "compatibility" tab, check the box near the bottom stating "Run this program as Administrator" and check the box "Run this game in compatibility mode" once compat mode is checked click the down arrow and select Windows Vista Service pack 2.


This isnt a guaranteed fix but it helped me and others when i was having trouble.
After I did a complete system wipe to put Win7 on my new solid state drive i havent had to change anything to make it run.
