Continuing our discussion from last night. Sorry dam pager went off and had to go fight the red devil again.
Numerous of my buddies have purchased the Mossberg 500 field and have had great success with it. Whether its in the 2 3/4 or 3 inch chamber. Reviews on numerous website are also very good. Around $300.00
I have a Remingtion 870 Wingmaster that is also a good choice but they start at about 700.00. Remington has an Express model out that is also getting good reviews and is available in a wide range of gauges and chambers. Around 350.00 to 400.00.
The other gun I have is a browning Auto-loader, which is a great gun but the prices on them are nutz. To replace mine now would be over 1000.00.
Hope this helps.

Remington 870 Express is my favorite. Good, all purpose shotgun, especially for the price.

It'll be sufficient for that but other, more expensive models would be better. Like I said, the 870 Express is a good, all purpose shotgun.
I like the 870 Express for home defense. If it comes into my hangar, it dies. Even if it tries to hide behind the crates.

I have a Mossberg Maverick 88.
Great pump shotgun, never had any problems with it. LOADS of extras you can put on it. Good thing about a pump...is you will never have feeding issues no matter how dirty the weapon is.
Those semi auto shotguns can have feeding issues when dirty and have more parts that can break.
I prefer a semi to a pump during hunting, however, you can hunt with a pump very well.

Oooh! A punt gun! Only used on birds I hear.
(That's from Tremors 3 isn't it?)
Strap it to the front of your punt. If you get out on the marsh just before dawn you can catch whole flocks of ducks on the water...
...and turn them into pâté...
Nah, the 4 gauge is an Elephant gun.
I had a chance to shoot one once but after watching the last guy get knocked arse over tip firing it, I thought I'd give it a miss.
Can't find a pic of the gun quick, but here is a 4 gauge bullet for ya.

ok well they had a gun show this weekend in town.
so after wandering around for awhile i saw multiple Remington 870s for 280-310. like i said before i really wanted a browning but i didnt find any in my price range. right before i was fixing to leave a shotgun caught my eye, it was a Remington 870 Express Magnum and the guy only wanted $250. eh its used but i thought that was to good of a price to pass up. so i ran down to a sporting store that had a buncha remingtons and saw that they had expresses for 320 before tax.
so i went back and picked it up as it was saving me $70+.
