Anyway, I have been thinking about ways to encourage escort pilots to accompany strat runs.
How about a "Dambusters Escort Pilot of the Month" award. We could make up some kind of ribbon that they could put on a forum sig.
Post the award in PlaySkool with the reason for it and see what happens.
As an alternative, we might (looks sideways at Codguy) be able to have a space made in OUR sigs that lists our favorite escort pilot of the month.
That would certainly show how much we appreciate 'em in a personal (but manly, how about that local sports team?) sort of way.
Anyone can nominate anyone who flies escort. A brief essay on why they should get the award, we vote and robert is your fathers brother!
I'd even be happy to do the PS releases.
