The Prop default setting to MAX change, the back story

I first posted this in a list to the Rats Sep 29 2007.
Then I did a specific post just about this Dec 17 2007.
While they agreed with the idea, it was too late to put it in 1.28
I bumped it up Mar 4 2008, at which point this reminder made the Rats go ahead with a change.
Why DOC posted this is perhaps more a heads up the community, but it is nice.
I made this suggestion for 2 reasons:
1. I have seen, and keep seeing, new players smash airplanes becuase they do now know about the Prop settings.
2. Historically the prop is ALWAYS on MAX (HI-RPM). The only time it is adjusted down is for cruise once at altitude.
But the real lesson here, and in another item I managed to change, is the Rats memory is like a,.. Rat, short.
If you want to get something changed, you must:
1. Be polite (The hardest part, I too get majorly PO'ed).
2. Have all your facts.
3. Good reasons why it needs to be changed.
4. Remind them why it needs to be changed.

5. Patience, patience, patience.
6. Remind them why it needs to be changed (yes, again, again, again,...)
7. NEVER EVER STOP REMINDING THEM until its done.
8. BE F&^@ POLITE! Even in the heat of battle.
9. Have some alcoholic beverage, be polite, and remind them again.
