Holy crap. I need to move there. Subtract a bedroom, a bath, and about 800sq ft, then add about $60,000 and you have what me and my wife just bought in Leesburg.
We picked out the lot yesterday, Monday we go pick the trees we want to keep, then they start building. Hopefully sometime mid-June our new home will be finished.
Sorry to hi-jack. Congrats on your new home buddy.

wow...for that price here you can get a 2 bed room maybe 2 bath...maybe around 1000sq ft. here. How far from a major city is that?

In Norway you will get absolutly nothing for that price... ohh, you will get something, I forget - you get a laugh in you face by the realestat women...

Macon is about an hours drive from here. Nearest major city. It's in the country. That's one reason it's so cheap. Also, in a county that does not have a major business base.
It's a pretty cool place for sure. Gonna really enjoy it.

Around here that will get you a tool shed in a poor neighborhood in a run down industrial site on the wrong side of the tacks!!
