overclocking

how do i go about overclocking my CPU on meh little laptop? so i can get more bang for the buck and maybe just maybe get 2 fps ingame instead one 1 lol

Sniper,

You do it through your setup. If you setup allows small increments in speed of ram and cpu. Some machines are not set up to adjust the settings in smalll increments. In that case, you may not find an increase that will work. I'm sure reddog will pipe up after the rum wears off.

Didn't someone post a link to an overclocking thread here a couple of years back where the guy tried to water cool his desktop? He said something like this:

"I've read through these forums, and I think I know what I'm doing now, but I'm having trouble with watercooling my machine. I silliconed up the case, and ran a hose into it. Then as soon as I turned on the tap and the case started filling with water, the computer shut down and I blew all the fuses in my house. What have I done wrong? Now my computer won't work at all."

It turned out this guy actually taught computing at a high school. He got flamed pretty badly, and couldn't understand what he'd done wrong, it was pretty funny.

i remember that

sad just sad lol

maybe ill have a big block of dry ice and set it on top of that to keep it cool.... :?

yeah laptops not prime overclockers due to heat issues
