There are quite a few awesome events happening in July for people who might be interested in attending.
So far three airshows will be happening, of them two I will hopefully will be attending.
The first is literally on my doorstep being held at the famous Blenhiem Palace Grounds called http://www.flytothepast.com/ which is on the 22nd July. Alot of events plus a 4 hour airshow from WW1 to present day. More about Blenhiem Palace can be found here, inlcuding the history of how it came to be. http://www.blenheimpalace.com/
The second event is called the Duxford Flying Legends Airshow, as you know Duxford was an important airfield back in WW2 hosting numurous squads from both British and USAAF. This will be purely WW2, the site also houses the Tank Museum aswell which is interesting to look around. Seeing the old tanks up close is impressive. The site can be found here http://duxford.iwm.org.uk/ Click on Airshows 2007 and see the listing. Flying Legends is hosted over a weekend on the 7th and 8th July.
The third is the IAT (International Air Tattoo), it is the largest airshow in europe and only 15 miles from where I live. Based at RAF Fairford which was used for both Gulf Wars for B52 bombers and also the SR-71 and U2 Spy planes. Alot will be going on here and the static displays is one of the largest in the world. Looking forward to this one as the Thunderbirds will be making a rare UK Apperance. Site can be found here. http://www.airtattoo.com/showcontent.asp
Anyone going to any of these shows please let me know and we can try and meet up. I know there will be a yearly meeting of Warbirds and Aces High Pilots at Duxford. Would be nice to meet some of the WW2Online players aswell.
