There wouldn't happen to be a scholar of Ancient History in these forums huh? Maybe, even more specifically the Age of Alexander???

My dad is a history major and is well versed in ancient history. We also lived in that part of the world for 6+ years.

Pose your question and I'll see if he can help.

Ok that makes me feel a lil better, You guys are on standby. I am currently taking a course ONLINE called "The Age of Alexander the Great." A masters level course. Its full of things like reading 1500 year old writings that work better than any sleeping pill you've ever tried We also have to answer questions each week, and have 4 weeks to write a 15 page paper. So if something really important comes up I will be sure to ask.

Now that brings back a memory. 9th grade, very large black woman was my French teacher. Claimed to be a direct descendant of Alexander the Great.

I watched the movie, does that help?
It seems Alexander was a bit of a poof. Put that in your essay, you might get extra marks!
Also, I believe they named Alexandria after him.
His friends used to call him Alex for short.
His enemies used to call him Phalix cause they thought he was a bit of a dick.
Little known, but the reason he didn't carry on through India was because they were charging $50 for a poxy 5 minute elephant ride. He was so disgusted he left. Plus Indian beer disagreed with his stomach.
Also little known, Alexander was only trying to get to Byzantium to visit his boyfriend, but Spiros the travel agent fucked up his booking, that's how he ended up in India.
Should be an extra 10% for you right there.
Any other questions, just ask.

Just how great was Alexander, the man who conquered most of the known world but died a paranoid, alcoholic wreck at the age of 33

that got to be worth a point! 8)

Is this the exam m8?
