*Bitch slaps snipet for being a dumbass* Boy, don't they teach you anything in school????? They ARE WAY UP THERE ON THE LIST. I think Dylan is a better songwriter. I mean the man wrote All Along the Watchtower. I also thing Hank Sr. is a better songwriter than merle. He wrote i'm so lonesome i could cry in 15 minutes after the record label said he couldn't write. Thats genius......

Good one Ben!
I scored a 2nd row ticket to see Bob Dylan here in Perth around 10 years ago. I was so hyped. Then when the show started, he looked grey, and sick. The show was pretty bad in the end, although the rest of the band was great (they did the Jimi Hendrix version of "All Along the Watchtower").
It turns out he had the flu that day. A mate saw him on the same tour in Brisbane a week or 2 later, and said it was one of the best shows he's ever seen. Them's the breaks!
"This is the story of the hurricane..." Another great song! Shame it turned out to be a crock...

I saw Dylan back in the 70s before he got religion. He was still pretty fired up back them. Always been a fan.
Saw Rod Stewart in Wellington NZ, spent the night with some Kiwi girl who kept singing "If you want my body"....
So, who is this Merle guy anyway?
I never listen to country music, too depressing,
"Mah pick-up died, mah dog runned away and mah woman is a-cheatin' with a city feller..."
I kinda like Hank Williams senior just 'cause he is a good 40s-50s musician, but I like Gene Krupa a lot more!

I lived in New Orleans for most of the 1990s and there was this little diner called the St Charles Tavern that we wouild eat at to sober up.
On the jukebox was a Dylan song I played every time I went:
Lay, lady, lay, lay across my big brass bed
Lay, lady, lay, lay across my big brass bed
Whatever colors you have in your mind
I'll show them to you and you'll see them shine
Lay, lady, lay, lay across my big brass bed
Stay, lady, stay, stay with your man awhile
Until the break of day, let me see you make him smile
His clothes are dirty but his hands are clean
And you're the best thing that he's ever seen
Stay, lady, stay, stay with your man awhile
Why wait any longer for the world to begin
You can have your cake and eat it too
Why wait any longer for the one you love
When he's standing in front of you
Lay, lady, lay, lay across my big brass bed
Stay, lady, stay, stay while the night is still ahead
I long to see you in the morning light
I long to reach for you in the night
Stay, lady, stay, stay while the night is still ahead
