Ok heres a layout i did. Main4ce did all the hard work and its his guide to bombing which is great..simple and to the point with great pics to help spell it out. All I did was change the layout/Color scheme a bit some animated crap. Same header with the pilots.... well just check it out.

I agree with Main on the Red Lettering. It is great Work Get. --- I believe it is the first time I have ever read the Story of the Dambusters. I always wondered to some extent why the Bombs were dropped on the Dams. What was the significant of it. Course any destruction on Germany at that time had it's reasons. We Bomb the Factories to kill their supply, and anyplace else that it will weaken them. ( This caught my eye )

Wing Commander Willie Tait's 617 Squadron added to the destruction greeting Eisenhower's armies by breaching the Kems Dam on the Rhine in order to prevent the Germans from controlling the river's level and perhaps flooding the valley when the Allies tried to cross the river. He personally led thirteen Lancasters in spectacular drops of "Tallboy" bombs, special weapons developed by Dr. Barnes Wallis.

One Big Army :)

nice work with the graphics and such

one suggestion: attribute the text which was quoted from, "Fortress Without A Roof: The Allied Bombing of the Third Reich" by Wilbur H. Morrison

Ok updated a couple of things and added some cool links, like factory stats... also including your request there Charlie.

http://dambusters.bravehost.com/

This is not meant as a final Dambuster site...but as ideas for a site, between the 2 pages (http://www.tippinover.com/DBs/ from Getme) there should be some good things or ideas we could use!

kiz mentioned in another thread that gbw had given him password information for this site... meaning we could change this one to make it better

i still believe that is the best option but take my opinion with a grain of salt since im on leave

if you create an all new site we will you lose thousands of forum posts
