617, CALL TO ARMS! DOC anti-bomber, must convince otherwise

Post by Frantish »

Me and DOC had an exchange again.

This post about sums it up.
http://forums.battlegroundeurope.com/sh ... p?t=230865

I am not expecting bombers to be done this year, but I have a feeling that we will not get any new bomber, EVER. Every time I or someone asks him, it is shut up/shut down.

WE must keep the need for at least variants or 2 new models on the for front.
LeO 451 http://forums.battlegroundeurope.com/sh ... p?t=204504

It took YEARS of gripes for the changes in the tier structure to get better setup (in 1.29), so we need to do the same of _asking_ for a new bombers.
We need to prove that it is good for the player base, make game more attractive, and convince DOC to give us one.

http://forums.battlegroundeurope.com/sh ... ?p=3487624

This will be a slog, but EVERY positive change we made took a LOT of time and lots of postings in Hanger to make it better.

Same with the player base.

Vote YES for bombers! :)

Doc isn't against new bombers.

The way I read it, he is just as enthusiastic as we are, it is just that he knows it isn't going to happen immediately or even 'soon'.

They have GOT to get the Chinese set up first.

Then comes $$$, then comes new goodies.

I do agree however that we need to keep RDP Bombing at the forefront of peoples minds.
I think nagging Doc is the wrong approach (not saying any of US are nagging),

In my opinion the positive approach is the way to go about it.
In other words NOT "Waah I'm gonna unsub if we don't get new bombers!!!11 WE never get ANYTHING Waaaah!11"
But rather "Wow! The game is freaking awesome! Think how much MORE awesome it would be with new bombers!"

Frantish ol' buddy I think you are doing a GREAT job keeping RDP in peoples minds and I know for a fact that the Rats listen to us,
but they have their road mapped out and all the cries of"Are we there yet?" from the back seat won't get us to Grandmas house any faster.

To mix another metaphor, we are writing to Santa Claus here,
we can influence him in the choice of toys but X-mas won't come any faster and we'll still get socks and underwear as well.

Please don't think I am being discouraging here Frantish, quite the contrary in fact.
I think you are one of the few in the PS hangar forums who has the right approach and attitude.
Call this a guide to those who would follow you.

I support you bud. 8)

Yes we SUPPORT you Frantish. And I do agree with TZ.
In fact I think we will do better if we keep up with both - or more - approaches.

My last post was about how I love doing bomb runs with my friends. And I think that is a powerful statement as well.

I was a bit unclear... I mean I don't give a sh..t what I'm bombing - as long as I fly with my friends.
I'm a happy bomber

Well, TZ, I know if they had the $$$ they will do it, but I have difficulty of getting even tiny RDP related items considered (let alone in the list).

Besides, if CRS really wanted to get new bombers, they would, somehow. They make 2 new Fighter variants as a last second idea.

I will be realistic and say variants are the only likely choice, but I do not even hear of a variant.

Just need to fight the good fight!

It's not IF they have the money, it's WHEN they get the money...

Yes they might be able to do variants but I don't really see where they would change the RDP war much.
We'd get some more pilots for a while to play with the new toys but it wouldn't really change anything.

The fighter variants were a quick and easy sop to the fighter jocks that also allowed the reshuffling of the tiers more to the Rats liking.

At this point I believe the cry should be "Where is 1.29?!"

Patience my little Axis friend!

Keep posting in PS though, keep RDP in people minds and don't think for a second the I(we) aren't right there with you! 8)

If I could say something, If I would make the decission about next triada, my votes would be on

Ju88 - as a fast T1 bomber for LW as counterpart of Havoc/DB-7

Vickers Wellington - as a real RDP bomber for allied, with real bombload

Bre693 - as replace of AdA's Blenheim Mk.IV.

I could vote for it even if it would means that we won't see any new other palnes for 1-2years. Even if CRS would add them one after each other.

We are due the wellington, and they are due the Ju88. It says so in the wiki, except they just don't exist.

The Wiki only lists possible counterparts to what we have, not that we will get it. It has the Do-17z, but it is very unlikely we will get.

1.29 Open beta will soon be out, and all of us will have to work hard to urge the Rats *AND THE PLAYER BASE* the need for balance to RDP.
The new aircraft and Tier structure will end the cozy T-0 bombing we have enjoyed.

We are in this together

Could you elaborate on that Frantish darling? Are they nerfing RDP again? I should have seen that one coming.

And they're "fixing" the yaw, so we can't even wtflop away from enemy fighters on a pass.

Its pretty obvious, the E-1 will be able to intercept DB's and dog fight at much higher alt and easier then 110.
It can climb as good, or better then the E-4, so expect more company on your RDP runs

Man what next? --Chicken little said the Sky is falling. :) Like the Tractor going down the road with all the traffic backed up. He might be slow, but he's ahead of you. In other words,we may be in this togueather, but we still want to stay ahead of the Axis. -- he he he ( Just the Truth )

The Axis don't need anything any better than they already have. You look at the amount of times the Allied has lost campaigns, compared to Axis, and we are way behind. We need something to keep numbers on the Allied side. You are blind, if you cant see side switching to the Axis side.
I'm with you on wanting everythin bigger and better for the RDP, but I want it in favor of the Allied side. We are overdue. I know that's not how it works, but that's what I want. :)

Give me a Heavy Bomber with Firepower and good Bombload. Lots of Fighter Escort. Then next I'll be for you. :) Thats what I want, getting it is another story. :) Give a little bit get a little bit. We give a little bit and we get a lot. You give a little bit and you get a little bit. he he

No DOUBT when the Rats will have some extra money they will build a Wellington for you guys!

Likely a LeO 451 too.

Axis gets the Ju-88

Those are the safe bet for whats next in new airplanes, IF rats get money coming, and it will be 3 pack.
If China works out, then mid to late 2009 is good bet.

**BUT** (always one), only we WE, yes, YOU, keep putting the NEED for new bombers and more air combat features FRONT-AND-CENTER!

The ground guys are the noisiest bunch, and guess what, they get the most toys. You getting the message yet?
